SERVICES FOR CHILDREN

We are mindful of the fact that parents with young children do not always feel relaxed in a more formal worship situation. We have prayed and thought very carefully about this and can offer the following "child friendly" services.

PRAM CLUB

A Pram Club is held on the last Friday of every month to help young parents keep in touch. This consists of a short "Tot's Praise" with some very basic Christian teaching, followed by fellowship, refreshments and fun.

FAMILY SPOT

Every third Sunday in the month a popular "Family Spot" service is held at 10:30a.m. This consists of 30 minutes of all age worship followed by 30 minutes of refreshments, fellowship, related craftwork and activities for children.

SUNDAY SERVICES

At a normal Sunday service there is always a children's spot at the beginning of the service, after which they go to an adjoining room for Christian teaching and activities. We are fortunate to have at least two Sunday teachers who also encourage the children in drama and music. This enables them to share their talents at special services such as Easter or Anniversary. The children return to the congregation to share what they have done and to be present at the blessing.

COMMUNION

Family Communion is on the first Sunday of the month. The children join the church family for the communion and receive an individual blessing with the laying on of hands.
